RWANDA
Rwanda's major cities are dominated by the capital, Kigali, which represents the country's economic, cultural, and administrative heart. Often described as the cleanest and safest city on the African continent, Kigali is the only urban center with a fully developed metropolitan structure.
Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park, located in the northwest of the country, protects five of the eight volcanoes in the Virunga range: Karisimbi, Bisoke, Muhabura, Gahinga, and Sabyinyo. Famous for gorilla trekking, it is home to a large portion of the world's mountain gorilla population.
